Poetic Truth.

Blankly staring at the screen, not knowing what to expect with today’s lecture, as Dr. Rivera recites a poems made by her and her father. In one poem, a phrase that impacted me and was repeated several times was, “Let us all stand undivided.” It is true, whether coming from different ethnicities that we must somehow stand together as a whole to endure the unpleasant hold of drugs and its addiction. It isn’t based on natural traits but moreover with keeping the right of mind when addicted to drugs or helping others cope with their addiction. It is not a matter of colors but power. Other than that, Michael as well as Francis presented their quotations, which they interpreted in an observant and good manner. Furthermore on poems about drug abuse or drug prevention, in which I want a copy for personal use, especially to those I confidentially know whom have suffered and somewhat endured drug addiction. I really enjoyed Dr. Rivera’s poetic truth that she presents to the class.
