Thursday's Class

At the start of the class, Dr. Rivera mentioned that Michael and Francis would present their quotes. Today, I was glad to be back in class. Dr. Rivera read to us some poems from her book she wrote with her dad called "Better Life Away from Drugs". The poems were "Let's all Stand Undivided", "I've Learned the Hard Way", and "Drugs don't Discriminate". All of them were very moving such as that today is the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Moving on and standing united are very important themes that really stand in memorial of this day. Michael's quote was said by Theodore Roosevelt, and was really relevant to what i'm learning about in my ID-180 class about time management. Francis's quote was by an African Proverb. Today's class was very interesting as we learned more about outlining, and listening to everyone share was also very enriching....
