Since we had last class on 9/11, it would seem fit to keep supporting our troops, and I do, but at times I don't understand why the U.S is in Irag in the first place, but who am I to know why we should be there? I have family members that are in the military, such as my uncle, who just returned from Iraq a year ago. Its frustrating because we can't do anything about it since the President has the power to control the military. But Dr. Rivera's poems got me thinking. Even though they were about drugs, she did mention unity, and with influence from another class, I see that we need to stand together and be strong for our family, our friends, and for the country we represent, especially for those in the military. Sacraficing ones life for freedom so that others could experience it is more than any person could give. So in rememberance of 9/11 whether we are in a war or not, fighting for freedom comes with sacrafice. Above all, on 9/11, we were attacked, and our freedoms are limited, but only for the greater good.I'm thankful that all of us get to experience freedom, and hope our troops come home. The memory will live on.
*sorry everyone no pic....
