Exercise 1: Freewriting
There are many ways to be affected by the subject, “Drugs”. Whether you are using them or not, it will still effect a person in your life. A family relative, friend, colleague, or a member from a club. Ways it may effect a person, could either be bothered by the situation, being teased in school, it could be another situation plant in your head to distract you and can’t concentrate on other important things in your life such as school or having fun with your friends, you could miss out on a lot, even your social life. I, myself has experienced these type of situations with a certain family member. I didn’t have an enjoyable life due to this situation that I was disturbed by.
If I may share, My experience is that it pretty much affected my whole 4 years of high school since the incident in my family happened. My studies and grades in classes were not great, my social life was far different from what my peers had. I hung out with the wrong crowd at the wrong time. I was very unhappy.
Drugs can affect a person in all kinds of ways, weather you are using them or not.

Ohh. Ria, that was so touching but so true. You don't have to use it to be effected by it. Just being in the environment you're already affected by it. Just try to look ahead and be on the positive side. You're on the right track right now just being here in class today.
I am fortunate that I didn't have to experience what you experience the wrong way. But it is by you and the others who share their experiences that can protect me and our fellow peers.
But experiences like this makes you stronger. You are a stronger person.
I agree with you, I mean I had friends who would do something stupid because they took drugs and they would end up having a troubled life. I wish you the best and hope you will enjoy this new life with your new friends.
You are a very strong person, whether or not you believe what I am saying. You have gone through a very hard time in your life but you still choose to come back to school and start all fresh. Keep up the great, brave work. :)
I hope things are better now. See you in class!
