Review of class: Aug 27 2008

I thought the essay we read in class today was a very sad tale. Yet, you must admit at the same time you can see yourself in her position. Each one of us at one point felt must of felt like they wanted to be brought up in a different culture. In a way its sad that in reality we are just like her. Everything on Guam is starting to become more westernized. The only real thing left is the respect we show our family members.

Stick to what you believe in and don't go for the standards.

I agree that Guam is becoming more and more multicultural, but it's really your choice to take in what's now or keep your morals true and stick with what you were brought up with.

Keep on blogging!

I felt that too. I think that you shouldn't be embarassed of your culture. You should embrace your culture. If people don't like you for yourself and your culture they aren't really your friend. Real friends accept you for who you are.
